Shield for Alpine Weather

The Big Agnes Shield 3 is a sturdy single-wall tent for year-round mountaineering, winter camping, overnight backcountry touring, and alpine trekking. Its ultralight nylon fabric has a thin, 3-layer membrane with outstanding waterproof, breathable ratings to shield you from storms and minimize internal condensation. Big Agnes sized this shelter slightly smaller than most 3-person tents to lessen weight and save you some packing space. The single door has two windows: one for checking the weather, and the other for adding ventilation in storms. When the conditions are sunnier than expected, roll the door down and let the air flow through the supported roof vents. You can open and close the roof vents inside the tent.
