Entry level products sometimes get a bad rap, but the Petzl TIKKINA will have you wondering why you should really pay any more for a headlamp. Based on Petzl’s legendary TIKKA, the TIKKINA gives you the same three levels of light output, plus the same weather resistance, and the option to run it on the three included AAA batteries, or swap them for a rechargeable Petzl CORE battery (sold separately). The only thing you give up is red light illumination, which we don’t mind a bit for camping or general outdoor use. And since it’s compatible with Petzl’s full suite of mounting accessories (also sold separately), you can easily mount it to your helmet or bike for added visibility on your commute.
