For many years, a quiver of touring skis also meant having a quiver of skins, but with the Contour Hybrid Free Split Climbing Skins, you can finally have multiple sets of skis covered with a single pair. The unique split design allows these to accommodate skis of varying widths, starting at 95mm under foot. They get Contour’s Hybrid adhesive technology, which sandwiches a secondary adhesive layer between the skin and the ski-facing glue, for a setup that’s far more durable than traditional single layer adhesives. And since the split design leaves a portion of the ski base exposed, they’re made from Contour’s grippier Mix material, which blends natural mohair for glide and nylon for extra traction on the skin track.
