Sure, you can cook on the tailgate of your truck, but that doesn't bode well when you're car camping in bear country. You could also, of course, cook on the ground, but your partners probably won't be too happy about the dirt, dust, and grime they find in their food. Or, you could just invest in a solid camp table, so all you have to worry about is whether you nailed the presentation on the flambé or not. We think that choice should be simple enough. We also think your flambé was perfect. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
