Named after the fifth highest mountain in the world, the La Sportiva Men’s Makalu Mountaineering Boot is intended for high-altitude treks over rugged terrain. It’s a classic leather boot that ages like a fine wine. La Sportiva randed the leather upper with Vibram rubber for extra durability, and the EX Flex tongue is removable for easier on-and-off. The tongue has a Dry-Best lining to wick moisture and dry quickly. Underfoot, an Aircushion midsole absorbs impact while boulder-hopping, and the MtnFlex insole ensures stiff, solid support for carrying heavy backpacks up tough trails.
