Aspire to the Spire

When the weather forecast calls for chances of rain on your trekking trip, it’s best to lace up the La Sportiva Men’s Spire GTX Hiking Shoe and hope for the best. Whether wet or dry, the weather won’t be a problem for your foot’s comfort thanks to GORE-TEX Surround. Unlike traditional waterproof, breathable membranes, GORE-TEX Surround wraps a membrane around the bottom of your foot as well as the shoe’s upper. That way, your foot’s protected when you step in the occasional puddle. The midsole and sole have drainage ports similar to boating shoes so you aren’t heaving boots full of water as well as your backpacking gear. Waterproof, breathable protection this innovative deserves an equally innovative sole, so La Sportiva used Vibram rubber with an XS Trek tread for solid traction from trail to summit.
