It still retains the original, flat-profiled, comfortably asymmetric shape that slab climbers, trad climbers, and beginners have admired for 30 years. La Sportiva simply updated the climbing shoe with a biodegradable leather upper that used a metal-free, eco-tanning process for durability at a reduced carbon footprint. Also, the FriXion rubber sole is recycled, because what’s the point of calling your shoe Eco if its rubber isn’t recycled?
