Lizard-Like Grip
The SCARPA Women’s Gecko Approach Shoe sticks to sandstone, grips granite, and even handles slick limestone reliably. As SCARPA’s most technical approach shoe, the Gecko is your best bet when the approach is long and somewhat off-trail. The upper’s mostly made of suede to stay strong for seasons of ascents, and a rubber rand reinforces the upper so you can smear through a boulder field without too much wear-and-tear. The rubber rand extends over the heel for even better durability where it counts. Underfoot, SCARPA’s PRESA outsole uses a softer SuperGum rubber compound to ensure a solid grip wherever you roam.
